I hope Trump cuts millions from Philadelphia
By now we have anywhere from 10 to 20 million illegals among us. Is 20 million a lot? Only California, Texas, and Florida have that many people.

Philadelphia has lost almost $7million in federal funds, according to the Inquirer, and I am damn glad.
Why were the funds cut? To punish the city for its privileged Sanctuary status, which is now scrambling to make it disappear to escape the Wrath of Trump.
I was surprised to learn about the cuts, because the last time the Trump administration tried to slap the city down, it failed. That resulted in boneheaded Mayor Jim Kenney doing an idiotic jig in his office, cackling, “We are a sanctuary city.”
I hope Trump hammers my semi-beloved city. I want Philly to lose many millions of federal moolah. I want to see the sanctimonious ayeholes in City Hall having to pay for their law-breaking, shameless virtue-signaling.
Yes, yes, I know. They won’t have to pay — the taxpayers will. And my hope is maybe that will awaken citizens to the cost of their support of lawlessness.
I have been a critic of our Sanctuary City policy ever since hapless Mayor Michael Nutter got bulldozed into it by the Open Borders crowd, who won’t be satisfied until every illegal gets a Costco membership, and a voter registration card.
Open Borders organizations like Juntos and the New Sanctuary Movement claim they are “pro-immigrant.”
I say they are anti-American, because they suborn federal law.
They say I am a racist.
I say they are enabling people of every color who broke U.S. law to remain here without consequences. No foreigner has a “right” to be here.
Let’s go back to Kenney.
He and I were good friends for a decade. Meaning we ate dinner at each other’s homes with our wives at the time. We went to lunch, had drinks, I attended his fundraisers, and was all-in for him and his politics.
Then he was a Councilman-at-Large, and was animated by quality of life issues. He lived in South Philly with his wife, and was a Mummer, a proud member of the Jokers Fancy Brigade.
None of that is any longer true. He left South Philly, his wife, and the Jokers, after attending Woke re-education camp. He became a Practicing Progressive, sliding away from law and order and toward defund the police.
Our friendship died on the hill of illegal immigration, and his support of this Sanctuary City, which means, in brief, it refuses to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. This began back when Barack Obama was President, not Donald J. Trump. Having unvetted, anonymous illegals among us is a security threat.
Kenney and I had several email exchanges about illegals, which went downhill fast. Like this:
Kenney: They are not doing any harm.
Me: They are doing harm by breaking the law. It’s a bad example.
Kenney: It’s not really law. It is only a civil offense.
Me: It is a federal offense. Chapter 8, section 1325 of the U.S. Code prohibits illegal entry, a misdemeanor. Illegal reentry is a felony under section 1326.
Kenney: They are good people.
Me: Good people don’t break the law.
Kenney: They are our neighbors.
Me: Gary Heidnik was someone’s neighbor.
Kenney: They just want a better life.
Me: Let them take a number and wait their turn.
Kenney: The immigration system is racist.
Me: It hasn’t been racist since the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 that abolished favoring Northern and Western Europe. The Top Ten countries now sending us immigrants are Mexico, India, China, the Philippines, El Salvador, Vietnam, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, South Korea. Not one of them is white.
Kenney: I guess you just don’t like brown people.
Me: That is where you go? Go fuck yourself. You know that we got a lot of Irish illegals, Russian illegals, Israeli illegals, even Canadians!
What I illustrated above is just about every argument then used by the Open Borders advocates to justify the illegals.(They have since added faux asylum seekers.)
Open Borders? Are you exaggerating?
Not in the least.
When people arrive illegally and aren’t sent back, that is an invitation for more to arrive (ask Joe Biden), and is Open Borders. It is a loss of sovereignty.

During Trump’s first term, writer Brian Hickey called stripping federal funding illogical and dangerous without explaining how. Hickey calls illegals a “blessing” in a piece he wrote in the Leftist Philly Voice weekly in 2017, sort of suggesting all federal funding is wise and well spent. We know that it is not true.
Alas, I believe Hickey speaks for a majority of Philadelphians — unlike the majority of Americans — who approve of the Sanctuary City idiocy.
Why?
They don’t know the facts. They haven’t thought it through. They are swayed by heart-tugging Biblical passages about “welcoming the stranger.”
Does that include drug dealers? Car jackers? Pedophiles?
I am not saying all illegals are criminals. Most are not, but some are. A week does not go by without an illegal being involved with car theft, drunk driving, spousal abuse, murder, sex offenses, or other violent crime.
Keep that in mind when you hear who Philadelphia is “welcoming.”
And that is what Mayor Cherelle Parker and some City Council doofuses are up to — ringing the bell of “welcome,” as brain dead Joe Biden did when he created the illegal entry crisis.
I can’t think of a Sanctuary migrant jurisdiction that is not controlled by Democrats. And every Sanctuary seems to think anyone has a right to be here. They don’t, they are breaking the law. They also break the law by working, and by driving, and by not paying tax, or by having a fake Social Security number if they do. How many crimes are they entitled to?
By now we have anywhere from 10 to 20 million illegals among us. Is 20 million a lot? Only California, Texas, and Florida have that many people.
I will discuss the ramifications of Open Borders in the next installment.
Before insanity set in, Nutter signed an agreement to share information with ICE about foreign criminals who had been convicted of serious felonies in Philadelphia, but not ordinary illegals.
That seemed a fair compromise, but it was not enough for the Open Borders pixies, which never want anyone deported.
So city leaders now, fearing Trump, are trying to obfuscate by pretending we are not a “sanctuary.”
They proclaim Philadelphia to be a “welcoming city.”
We “welcome” people who are here illegally? Yes, we do. We also like sticking wet fingers into electrical outlets.
Permission to enter? No. Health exams? No. Vetting to screen out criminals? No.
What could go wrong?
Last week we could have asked the Jews set on fire by an Egyptian national who was in the country illegally, overstaying his visa. Was he “welcomed” into Boulder, CO? It is a Sanctuary City.
